Leonie Weigand, born in 2005, is a Munich-based artist who works across painting, sculpture, and object-based practice. Found objects and textile materials expand her artistic language, adding further dimensions to her work. Conceptually, she engages with scenes from nightlife, social spaces, and contemporary youth culture, often drawing from her immediate surroundings. By translating fleeting moments into material form, she slows them down and renders them as enduring artistic works.
Since 2024, alongside her independent practice, she has been studying at the Academy of Fine Arts Munich. She began in 2024 in the class of Peter Kogler and, since 2025, has additionally been studying in the class of Nils Norman.
